Our friends at Heritage Preservation, the national conservation group, have posted the 2010 applications for their Conservation Assessment Program (CAP)
The program provides funds for small to mid-sized museums to hire a professional conservator to evaluate their collections’ needs and sites. CAP grants support professional fees, travel costs, and on-site expenses for assessors, allowing museums to conduct professional surveys at low costs. CAP also funds historic structure’s reports and assessments of living collections – zoos, aquariums, nature centers, etc.
Applications will be evaluated in the order in which they are received, and applicants are encouraged to submit their completed application as soon as possible. The postmark deadline for applications is December 1, 2009.
