4CTV (4Culture Television) is delighted to take you on a video visit to MOHAI (the Museum of History & Industry) to meet Executive Director Leonard Garfield and walk through Essential Seattle, a major exhibit examining more than 150 years of Seattle history with compelling images, artifacts, films and oral histories. Click on the image to watch the show online.
In the 30-minute episode, Garfield also shows us photographs of the 1909 Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exhibition, our region’s first worlds fair. Then he gives us a peek at the early twentieth century Arts and Crafts Movement in the Northwest exhibit which showcases significant buildings, interiors, furniture, glass and more with over one hundred objects drawn from public and private collections.
Watch the show, and then be sure to plan a trip to visit MOHAI and see the region’s history up close and personal.
