nyeFor the past four years, photographer Michael Nye has been listening and asking questions about hunger. Come learn about his art practice, social practice, and his latest documentary of voices, stories, and portraits that explore the lives of those who have experienced hunger during their lifetime. Michael’s multimedia presentation will be followed with an informal Q&A session.

Michael Nye is a San-Antonio based photographer known for multimedia exhibits that tell personal stories to allow entry into complicated issues and catalyze understanding. His photography and audio exhibitions, Children of Children (stories of teenage pregnancy) and Fine Line; Mental Health/Mental Illness have traveled to over 120 cities in the United States and continue to tour. Recipient of a Mid-America National Endowment for the Arts grant in photography, and a Kronkosky Foundation grant, Michael has participated in two Arts America tours in the Middle East and Asia, and exhibited and lectured widely in museums and universities.
