The U.S. Cultural & Heritage Tourism Marketing Council and Department of Commerce just released a new national research study on cultural and heritage travel in the U.S. The study found that 78% of all U.S. leisure travelers participate in cultural or heritage activities while traveling. This means that over 100 million tourists in the U.S. annually seek out arts & cultural experiences, contributing over $192 BILLION to local economies. Good news for cultural heritage tourism.
