On February 24, the 4Culture Board of Directors approved operations funding for 39 organizations through the 2010 Heritage Sustained Support program. Seven new applicants were awarded funding, including the Northwest African American Museum, the Museum of Flight and the Seattle Genealogical Society.
The purpose of Heritage Sustained Support is to provide base funding for heritage museums and organizations that collect, exhibit, interpret, preserve, or protect resources relating to the histories of people and places in King County. In 2010, a total of $333,000 will be distributed to organizations in all nine King County Council districts.
