King County organizations thinking of applying for 4Culture’s Heritage Collections Care program this year should check out the Heritage Preservation publication, Capitalize on Collections Care. The free publication addresses how collections care can be a resource for generating contributions, increasing membership, and attracting visitors, but also contains many case studies of how institutions raised funds for various collections care projects. The booklet can be downloaded and printed for FREE, and is also available for $2 each to cover shipping.
The information included in the publication may help you strengthen your planning and 4Culture funding proposals. Look for the Heritage Collections Care guidelines and application to be posted on the 4Culture website at the beginning of May. Applications will be due June 30, 2010.
