Reard-Freed HouseYesterday, the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation announced its 2010 Most Endangered Properties List. The list consists of historic properties in Washington State that are currently threatened by demolition or neglect. This year, four King County sites were nominated to the list, including the Reard-Freed House in Sammamish, one of the oldest residences and earliest government buildings in eastern King County. The Quad 7 Hangar at Boeing Field, the Murray Morgan House on Trout Lake near Tacoma, and the Skykomish Hotel in Skykomish are also on the list.

Since 1992, the Washington Trust’s Most Endangered list has raised awareness of threatened buildings, sites and places throughout the state. Two of the most recent success stories include Washington Hall in Seattle (listed on the WA Trust’s 2008 list) and the Curran House in the University District (listed on the WA Trust’s 2009 list).
